Year 2000 Compliance

CAL has been conducting an exhaustive investigation into its Temperature Control and Software products as well as its Systems and Suppliers.
This has been carried out in accordance with BSI DISC PD-2000 the key definitions of this are:

No value for current date will cause any interruption in operation
Date - based functionality must behave consistently for dates prior to, during and after year 2000
In all interfaces and data storage, the century in any date must be specified either explicitly or by unambiguous algorithms or inferencing rules
Year 2000 must be recognised as a Leap Year

CAL has not found any of these criteria likely to cause malfunction of its products or disrupt its ability to manufacture and supply:

Temperature Controls: none of the CAL controllers make use of day / date functions and therefore will not be affected.

CALCOMMS meets the DISC PD-2000 standard. The format of dates is fixed by the settings of the Windows environment therefore we recommend that all software, the computer platform and all other products used in conjunction with CALCOMMSTM are checked for Year 2000 compliance.
