CALpoll is software provided free of charge for companies who have software skills available to develop their own 'look' or functionality dedicated to suit the application. It can be downloaded from this site.

CALpoll is a software tool and contains three elements :-
a) Application example.
b) Visual C Source code.
c) MODBUS Source files

It is ideal for use by software engineers who wish to create custom applications that need to communicate with CAL controllers via MODBUS RTU protocol. The source code includes routines for communicating via MODBUS saving the software developer significant development time.

CALpoll uses the Win32 API in order to interface with communications resources under Windows 95,98 and Windows NT

CALpoll can also be used as a diagnostic tool to resolve communication problems, only the comms port needs to be set up and it will detect all instruments on the line.

The CALpoll application prompts the user to set-up the comm's (baud rate, com1/com2 and parity), then to click on 'Poll' and CALpoll will poll the MODBUS network looking for devices. All found devices and their addresses will be displayed in a window. CALpoll also allows the user to set and download a new set point remotely.
