Marketing
You will research and update market analysis (customers and competitors) to assess any changes from the recession, as part of our annual strategic business review.
You will also work on some marketing communications tasks for France, Italy or Germany as part of the Marketing team.
Skills:
Essential: market analysis (market size, location of customers by global region and analysis of competitors’ presence)
Essential: marcomms skills
Desirable: European languages especially French, Italian and German
Design Engineer
A customization project to adapt one of our standard products for a potential customer, from start to prototype. You will:
• create schematics based on a standard product
• change the layout
• create or change the bill of materials
• research components
• work with Production engineers and sub-contractors
• build the first sample
Skills:
Essential: hardware design skills (analogue and digital)
Essential: basic understanding of software structures and languages (C++,C, DotNet, Java)
Essential: some experience in embedded platforms (uCLinux, Linux, Win CE)
Desirable: European languages especially German
Database Project
To run a project setting up a product labelling database, to automate the printing of labels. The intern will analyse requirements, draw up the project specification, research costs and implement by setting up the database (in part at least).
Skills:
Essential: analytical skills
Essential: engineering, computer or business graduate
Essential: understanding and experience of databases
Essential: experience of putting together and implementing a project
Desirable: experience of sourcing suppliers and comparing costs
